Here are 12 questions to ask a real estate agent or broker before you hire them to help with your home sale or purchase. Interviewing potential candidates is the only way to select a Realtor® with the personality, credentials and experience that suits your real estate needs.

We took the liberty of putting in our answers for you in case you are looking for a real estate agent in New Orleans or surrounding areas.

How many years of experience do you have?

Check that the agent is used to dealing with properties that mirror yours in terms of size, style and price point. A seasoned agent that sells historic homes may not be the best agent for selling a production starter home.

You’ll also find an impressive variety of exhibits displaying interesting points in history such as jazz funerals, social aid, and the Mardi Gras Indians.
